Lisa Gwen

Lisa Robbins is a Toronto based clay artist and recent graduate from Sheridan's Craft and Design program in Ceramics. She has a background in graphic design and a history of varied interests including photography, glass, iron and fiber art. She is always keen to learn and can be found enrolled in workshops, enthralled in Google results or playing mad scientist in her basement studio.

Lisa has won several awards for her design and technical innovations; and hopes to continue to push the boundaries between craft and art in her exploration of materials, process and inspirational focus. She is currently working in an oxidized atmosphere with mid fire clays. She uses a broad pallet of techniques from hand building to throwing, slip casting to carving, whatever produces the desired effect.

Lisa has taught several workshops and always enjoys the opportunity to share the ideas and inspiration that come from community. She will continue to create work that challenges and excites her and hopes to share, exhibit, and teach the arts and crafts she loves
